To align with recent changes made by the CDC, Schaumburg Dermatology updated our patient/visitor policy. Effective May 17, the following visitor policies are in effect. Screen for illness, Patients, and companions entering our clinic will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms and have their temperature taken at check-in. Physical Distancing , Everyone must maintain a distance of at least six feet from each other unless they are giving or receiving direct patient care. Visitors must be vaccinated against COVID-19, must present a vaccine card at check-in (post 14 days after being vaccinated only). An exception will be made for unvaccinated visitors due to the following three reasons: 1. Parent/guardian is required ( One designated visitor ). 2. Translator is required ( One designated visitor ). 3. Patient with disabilities who require a reasonable accommodation for assistance( One designated visitor ) Universal masking , Everyone is required to wear a mask while in our clinic. Masks must be worn at all times unless requested to remove them, even when a provider is not present in the exam room. If you cannot wear a mask due to a disability or medical condition, please call our office to schedule a telehealth visit or discuss a reasonable accommodation. Patients and or visitors are not permitted to eat or drink in our facility, as it would require frequent unmasking. All guests who do not comply with the masking policy may be asked to leave. We ask you to use your best judgment and caution surrounding upcoming appointments and call us at (847) 534-0700 option two if you have any questions about your next visit and or our practice protocols. We also encourage you to follow the prevention and safety guidelines established by the CDC. We appreciate your understanding and will do everything to provide exemplary dermatology services while keeping our patients/visitors safe.
